D.C. Death with Dignity Act Signed by Mayor

Aid in dying33Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser signed the D.C. Death with Dignity Act yesterday, giving mentally capable, terminally ill adults the option to end unbearable suffering with medical aid. The District will become the seventh jurisdiction to allow and pass law on this medical practice. This relief aid is gaining national endorsement due to its usefulness for terminally ill patients. The bill will be passed to Congress where it will have thirty days to withstand a resolution.
