Are Missing WWII Sailors Buried in a New York Cemetery as Unknown Soldiers?

Uss turnerThe Pentagon has launched an investigation to determine whether several sailors who were reported missing following a ship explosion during World War II are actually buried in a New York cemetery as unknown soldiers. Ted Darcy discovered papers revealing that at least four sailors aboard the USS Turner were buried in a Long Island cemetery, further suggesting that the cemetery could hold all of the more than 130 victims of the disaster. The loved ones of the missing crewmembers hope that the records will help locate and identify the remains of those who perished on the USS Turner and allow them to rebury the sailors in marked gravesites with full military honors.
