Estate of Man Killed by Off-Duty Trooper Awarded $2 Million
An Oklahoma judge recently awarded the estate of Michael Swatosh $2 million after he was fatally shot by off-duty state trooper Sheldon Robinson. The settlement requires that the money will be put into a trust so that Swatosh’s widow can raise their young children. The state Department of Public Safety settled its wrongful death lawsuit for $25,000, and now, the family is looking to bring criminal charges against Robinson.
