Prince Estate Ordered to Pay $1 Million Bond to Block “Deliverance”
A judge just ordered Prince’s estate to cough up $1 million if it wants to keep his unreleased “Deliverance” EP off the market. The judge extended the restraining order that blocks the release by producer George Ian Boxill, who insists he owns the rights to the music. Prince’s estate will need to post a $1 million bond before the upcoming trial to determine if Boxill has the rights to the music. If Boxill wins the trial, the bond will go to him, covering a portion of his losses.
