Vietnam War Veteran’s Body Displayed Without a Coffin

9000Family and friends had a visitation this past week to pay the respects of 71-year-old Vietnam War veteran George Taylor. However, when they arrived at the Georgia funeral home, Taylor’s body was not in a coffin but instead laying on a table with an American flag simply draped over his body. The funeral home did not place the veteran’s body in a coffin after an issue with a $9,000 payment that was supposed to come from Taylor’s life insurance. The insurance company required proof of a death certificate before overnighting the payment, but the check did not arrive on time. The next day, after an agreement was reached, Taylor’s body was placed in a casket for the following service.
