David Bowie Photographer’s Estate Sues Hard Rock Hotel for Ripping Off ‘Aladdin Sane’ Artwork

The Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs has prolifically utilized David Bowie’s image from his “Aladdin Sane” album to decorate their interior spaces. Brian Duffy’s estate, claiming it owns the photo, is alleging this addition to the hotel’s décor was done without permission. Duffy’s estate has filed suit against the Hard Rock to collect any profits made from the image.
