UPS LOSES a Man’s $846,648 Inheritance Check  – But Only Offers Him a $32 Refund for Shipping and an Apology Letter After the Bank Refused to Pay out a Dime

When Dr. Louis Herbert died in 2015, he left his daughter, Lorette Taylor, responsible for administering his estate. In order to send Herbert’s legacy, Taylor went to a local branch of TD Canada Trust Bank to obtain a bank draft. The bank representatives told her that was the safest method to send such a large sum of money. When UPS lost the package, they refunded Taylor $32 and wrote her a letter of apology. The bank is currently refusing to draft another note unless Taylor provides them some collateral.
