The proposed plan would inject over a trillion dollars into desperately needed infrastructure projects that are aimed at fixing roads, bridges, schools, and sewer systems, by clawing back nearly two-thirds of the revenue lost through the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) believes the “American people will prefer building infrastructure and creating close to 15 million middle-class jobs than giving tax breaks for the wealthy.”
