‘Frasier’ Star John Mahoney Leaves Behind $5 Mil Estate
John Mahoney was best known for his role as the lovable-but-crotchety Martin Crane on the long-running series Frasier. Mahoney died in February while in hospice care. He suffered from a number of severe ailments, including diabetes, kidney and brain disease, lung cancer, and seizures. His friend, Bernard Dowling, filed documents for Mahoney’s estate in an Illinois probate court. The records reveal that Mahoney had over $5 million in assets, which include $300,000 in real estate. As it stands, there are thirty-eight potential benefactors that stand to inherit from the disposition of the estate.
