I’m Not a Monster

The bodies of Stephanie Hoover, her 38-year-old husband Rob, and 7-year-old son Zachary were found dead in their Lennox, South Dakota home on September 26th. Hoover apparently shot and killed her husband and son and then turned the weapon on herself. She left behind a nineteen-page letter that attempted to explain her actions. In the letter, Hoover admitted to embezzling over $80,000 from her employer and was concerned that she would be facing prison after an audit. She worried that her husband would not be able to take care of their son and believed she could take better care of him in Heaven.
