True demonstration of burning love

Burning_LoveUsually, the phrase “I have a burning love for you” is merely metaphorical. However, as doctors discovered during heart surgery in Australia, a heart can actually be on fire.

The patient was undergoing surgery to repair a tear in his aorta wall. The patient had COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) which causes the chest to contain air-filled blisters which the doctors punctured. During surgery, he received extra oxygen. When a surgical instrument the uses heat inadvertently ignited a dry surgical pack near the patient’s chest, the oxygen-rich chest cavity erupted into a flash fire.

Luckily, the doctors quickly put out the fire and the patient suffered no harm.
